Global scaling of Canada's start ups

As a keen follower and investor in sustainable and healthy living products (and green energy), I am constantly on the lookout for new concepts. So, I was particularly happy to see Toronto based ‘Love Good Fats’ raise $10.7M last week for its new and expanding product range of good fat, low-sugar keto snacks (Ketogenic is a high fat, adequate protein, low carb model).

This impressive start up has tapped a growing trend and its customer base is growing across North America (I suspect, Europe is next on their target list with CETA now well established). It is already occupying shelf space in Walmart, Wholefoods, Costco and other notable retailers.

The capital raise was led by InvescoEco and Export Development Canada. EDC’s PResident and CEO, Mairead Lavery complimented the women owned business (this gives me even more confidence in the company), adding that it comprised an experienced and engaged team, led by Suzie Yorke.

Off to the store to purchase…. Congratulations Suzie and team
