Change in Export Reporting

We would like to bring to the attention of all our Canadian export customers an important change in the way commercial exports are reported. Effective June 30th, Canadian exporters will no longer be able to file paper copies - the CERS replaces the CAED reporting system. This rule applies to all export commercial transactions over CDN $2,000. Training will be offered by CBSA - https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/export/reporting-declaration-eng.html

Reporting commercial exports - cbsa-asfc.gc.ca

The Customs Act requires goods being exported from Canada to be reported. The 3 main objectives of export reporting are to: ensure that goods leaving Canada do not pose a threat to other countries; support the Government of Canada’s domestic priorities by administering the applicable export requirements
